hey, i’m jess

All my life people have referred to me as my last name…Chislett (Chis) and that is where “Life With Chis” received its origins.

I have always been the girl that took all of the pictures while at events, parties, get togethers - you name it. Everyone would say “Chis has all of the pictures from yesterday” and it’s true, even to this day. I am always taking photos of moments.

I adore holding onto good memories and better yet, good people. It was only a matter of time when I turned my love for snapping candid photos on my phone into a hobby - and for something to fill up my busy stay-at-home-mom life schedule *I bet I am making a crazy face as we speak…* :’)

I knew I needed to invest in a really high end camera when I had my son. There’s no amount of storage on my cellphone that would be able to capture all of the shots I was wanting to take - and in fact already had stored up. I would take his monthly milestones pictures with my newly bought Cannon DSLR and fell madly in love with all of the features and endless opportunities I had in the palm of my hands.

You can describe me as being very social, outgoing, but insanely awkward and extremely passionate about being creative. I have a strong willed personality, yet have an “it-is-what-it-is” type mindset. I inspire others to feel themselves and to feel comfortable in all sessions - as I never shy away from that myself...If you know, you know.
